The Seasoned Farmhouse

The Amish cabinetmakers of Mount Vernon Millworks handcraft a limited number of custom kitchens and other cabinetry at our "off the grid" woodworking shop in the scenic Knox County countryside. We use Ohio grown hardwoods, cabinet-grade plywood, and the finest hardware to produce distinctive cabinetry for our mostly Ohio clients.

We are honored that Tricia Wheeler, professional chef and founder of Edible Columbus, selected Mount Vernon Millworks to build the custom cabinetry for her Seasoned Farmhouse cooking school in Clintonville. Tricia designed these cabinets herself, featuring diamond motifs and chicken wire in lieu of glass in the divided light cupboard doors. The cabinets are finished in a country white with hand-rubbed glaze. We made hand-planed ceiling beams with matching finish to complement the cabinets.
